Job Posting – Assistant Sales Floor Manager (Posted 3/13/26)
We are looking for an experienced and energetic assistant manager to help us run our sales floor,
alongside our general manager and department managers.
Primary responsibilities include: cooperatively leading sales staff and coordinating daily activities of
the sales areas (garden center, produce, grocery, & café.) There is room to grow in this position.
Writing schedule, training, and hiring are aspects of the role that may be added after mastering our
systems.
Experience in leading retail sales staff, organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal skills are
required. Experience in food service, plants, grocery, or produce is a plus. Love of fresh food and/or
gardening is preferable for a cultural fit. The position requires the curation of positive and energetic
teamwork in a fast-paced, indoor-outdoor, farm market environment.
Assistant Sales Floor Manager is a full-time position, with extra hours in spring and summer, and
lighter hours in winter. One weekend day and 2-3 evenings per week are required. We offer a
competitive compensation package.

General Hiring
We also have several seasonal (spring/summer) openings, with some potential for year-round
employment.
We are looking to fill several general positions in our market and garden center: Cashiers, produce,
grocery, and plants. Both full time and part time positions are available. Students age 14+ and adults
are welcome to apply.

Criteria for Student Job Applicants
Candidates must be able to work at least one weekend day and two weekdays (after school) when school is in session.
Summer: Must have availability daily from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
School Year: Must be available weekends and after school. (Note: spring, summer, and fall are VERY busy times for us—we prefer that students seeking employment can work from April to October.)
Criteria for All Candidates
- Must be at least 14 years of age.
- Must be available April to October.
- Must have good people skills.
