Smoothies are a perfect filling side for any time of day, but in my family they are especially great as an afternoon snack.  My kids will pretty much always eat fruit, which is great!  Sometimes though I want them to get some extra calories beyond just fruit, so a yogurt smoothie is a good compromise of fruit + calories.

Pequea Valley Farm Yogurt is made from golden, rich & creamy milk from Jersey cows.

They make it in plain, maple and vanilla and many delicious fruit flavors including strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, peach, mango, lemon, banana and black cherry. (Although it’s SO popular these days that its hard to keep on the shelves!)

In this particular smoothie, I used vanilla yogurt, milk and fresh blueberries.

My 17-month old snuck a few blueberries out of the bowl while I was taking the photo! Fresh fruit is irresistible at any age!

I love to keep some of these Pequea Valley Farm Yogurts on-hand too for when my kids want a bedtime snack. It’s a great, protein-packed option for any time of day!
