PrintSeasoned Kale Chips
This recipe will give you one 3-4 serving batch of kale chips, and a HUGE batch of seasoning mix… which also happens to double as an awesome popcorn seasoning!
- Prep Time: 10 mins
- Cook Time: 22 mins
- Total Time: 32 mins
- Yield: 3-4 1x
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 bunch kale
- 1 Tbs olive oil
- 2 Tbs seasoning mix
Seasoning Mix (use all dried spices):
- 1 cup nutritional yeast (sifted through a strainer if the flakes are large)
- 5 Tbs dill
- 2 Tbs cumin
- 1 Tbs turmeric
- 2 Tbs salt
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ⅛ tsp cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300°. Separate the kale leaves from the stems and tear the leaves into 2-3” pieces. Wash and dry leaves in a salad spinner. For best results, blot any remaining water with paper towels.
- In a large bowl, pour the olive oil over the kale leaves and combine thoroughly, making sure the oil coats every part of each leaf. Sprinkle the seasoning mix on top and combine again.
- Spread the kale out between 2 baking sheets, making sure they are in one layer (piling them up will keep them from crisping properly.) Bake for 11 minutes, turn the baking sheets around, and bake for 11 minutes more. Remove from oven and let stand for a few minutes to crisp up even more. Pull them up from the baking sheet delicately, to minimize crumbling of the thinner pieces.
